In truth, all he had taught Shi Feiyang back then were the Two Modes Dust-Mote Formation's operating principles and a few variations in opening and closing its gates. These were enough for Shi Feiyang to help him escape, but did not even amount to a simplified formation diagram. The vast majority of what Shi Feiyang knew had come from his own later insights.
Shi Feiyang did not contradict him, however. He merely said, "Now that you are free, fellow Daoist, you may redress your grievances and avenge your wrongs. Go seek out your old enemies. How you deal with them is none of my business. But I follow the Three Sovereigns Great Way, and I am also the Great Ming Imperial Preceptor... You are an intelligent man. I imagine I need not spell out everything that follows."
His face was utterly sincere. "I truly hope to be your friend, fellow Daoist. I really do not want us to turn against each other and become enemies someday. I hope you can understand my sincerity."
Deng Yin sighed. "You still do not trust me. I merely practice Demonic Path arts. Do you not practice them too? All that talk about us endangering the mortal world and needing to be eliminated in advance is nothing but an excuse cooked up by those hypocrites in the Buddhist and Daoist sects!"
"Let us hope so!" Shi Feiyang then asked Deng Yin what plans he had for the future.
Deng
