A monster was carved in relief on each Cave Gate:
Some had human bodies sprouting masses of Octopus tentacles.
Some had human bodies covered in birds' wings.
Some were balls of flesh bearing hundreds of human heads.
Every face was lifelike, especially the eyes, which all turned in unison to stare at Shi Feiyang. The sight made his hair stand on end—even he drew in a sharp breath!
What in the world was Ancestor Haha doing, creating such horrifying things?
What exactly lay behind these doors?
Shi Feiyang was somewhat curious, but his intuition told him that opening a door would reveal something deeply unpleasant, perhaps even scar him for life, and bring disaster upon this world.
