Bibi Dong kept him at Spirit Hall because of his exceptional looks, making him her personal male favorite. He spent two years under her control before his system appeared and offered Level 90 cultivation in exchange for breaking free of her 1.

Escape and the Spirit City Battles

Li left Spirit Hall using a token, with the guards believing he was merely a Soul Ancestor. He postponed accepting his reward until reaching his secret residence in Spirit City, despite the system’s assurances that his transformation would be concealed 1.

Rather than immediately leave the city, he tested Temporal Concealment against successive search parties. Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Cardinal Night Hawk failed to find him. He knocked Hu Liena unconscious when she remained behind to watch his house 2 3.

Establishing the Heavenly Secrets Tower

In Suotuo City, Li opened a small divination business, called both the Heavenly Mystery Tower and Heavenly Secrets Tower in the supplied chapters. A merchant’s successful recovery of lost money provided his first documented endorsement, though other locals dismissed him as a fraud 20 23.

Ning Rongrong challenged his abilities, then paid to learn how her Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda could evolve. Li identified Aromatic Silk Beauty as the required immortal herb but treated its location as a separate paid question. Her suspicion led her, Xiao Wu, and Zhu Zhuqing to break into the tower with knockout smoke; Li detected and captured them 21 23 25.

Immortal Herb Expedition

Ning Fengzhi negotiated a deal covering Rongrong’s release and Li’s assistance in obtaining the herb. After receiving a deposit, Li divined its location at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well in Sunset Forest and accompanied the sect’s party there 35 36.

Li located Aromatic Silk Beauty despite Dugu Bo’s territorial objections. Rongrong consumed it, successfully evolving her Martial Soul into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda. The sect subsequently announced its new name, the Nine Treasures Glazed Tile Sect 37 38 39 42.

Remaining behind to investigate other herbs, Li defeated Dugu Bo and required him to become his servant. The system rewarded Li with the Immortal Herb Compendium, allowing him to identify more than a hundred kinds of immortal herbs. He claimed the valley and assigned Dugu Bo to protect it 40 41.

Later Clients

After returning to Suotuo City, Li employed Zhu Zhuqing as a tea-serving attendant. Ning Fengzhi later settled the remaining herb-expedition payment and paid for the Shrek captives’ release. Li dismissed Zhu Zhuqing from her duties but permitted her to visit again 43 44 45.

Tang Hao then consulted him about Tang San’s unusual abilities and maturity. Li attributed Tang San’s techniques to the Tang Sect and revealed his past-life memories. His caution coexists with a mischievous, provocative streak. Once confident in his concealment, he stays in Spirit City to frustrate Bibi Dong and humiliates powerful pursuers with unseen attacks. He treats combat as an opportunity to discover his skills’ properties, but retreats when continuing would offer little benefit 2 5 6 10 17 18.

As a businessman, he is firm about payment and refuses to provide valuable information for free. He uses disrespect and attempted intimidation as grounds for punitive prices, detention, and compulsory service.
