She gazed at the endlessly flowing Spirit River and murmured to herself.
"Today is the day I attain the Dao."
In her eyes, how could this be an ordinary river? It was clearly the surging River of Life.
"So that's it. I finally understand what I must do."
"Fate is so wondrous. What a strange feeling."
She gently scooped at the air.
A handful of water actually appeared in that insubstantial, transparent void, and it radiated rich life energy.
Beside her, Fuxi was utterly stunned.
"What potent life force! Sister, you actually touched the River of Life."
That was something out of legend.
Countless people coveted it, yet could never touch it.
Legend had it that only those destined for it could truly touch the River of Life. It was a truly unique existence.
Nuwa pointed toward the heavens and bowed gently.
"Today, I, Nuwa, create humans here. I seek only to benefit the Primordial World. Let heaven and earth bear witness."
With a solemn expression, she crouched down, grabbed a handful of earth, and began molding clay figures, one after another.
In the blink of an eye, there were three thousand.
Every clay figure was exquisitely crafted, each looking as though it were alive.
But this alone was not enough.
The clay figures were merely lifeless objects, with no further significance.
She waved her hand and took out a handful of brilliantly multicolored soil, regarding the clay figures solemnly.
"This is Nine Heavens Breathing Soil, the Origin of Earth. Merge."
She divided the Origin of Earth into three thousand portions and merged them into all the clay figures.
Then she gently scooped at the void, and a vast quantity of life energy appeared in that empty space.
She poured it into the three thousand clay figures, one by one.
