As Ye Xuanxiao brought the Nether Edict Forbidden Ground to confront him, Gu Yuanqing used the forbidden ground’s power to blast Ye Xuanxiao’s avatar apart.

• Gu Yuanqing learned that the Qian Yuan Realm formed part of a vast formation and that the Ling Yuan Realm was falling toward the Demon Realm, then searched for the Dao Source Forbidden Land.
• Gu Yuanqing trapped Ye Xuanxiao in North Spring Grotto-Heaven, studied the Town Abyss Underworld Edict’s runes, and later found and claimed the Dao Source Forbidden Land.
• Feng Ziyi told Gu Yuanqing that the Golden Crow Clan had enslaved her people, and Gu Yuanqing agreed to protect the Demon Phoenix Clan as she prepared for her yin-yang tribulation.

Gu Yuanqing strengthened his cultivation as the Ling Yuan Realm fell and the rival powers fought over its origin. He joined the defense of the Boundary Gate, where the Devil Race’s assault exposed competing schemes and ended with his avatar trapped by several great demons.

• Gu Yuanqing suppressed Ye Xuanxiao’s avatar, then spent six years cultivating and expounding the Dao while Li Lingyun secretly arranged for devils to enter the Ling Yuan Realm.
• The Devil Race destroyed the Ling Yuan Realm and broke through the Boundary Abyss, forcing Mu Tianheng and Ning Xuxuan to retreat toward the Boundary Gate.
• Gu Yuanqing defeated a Bloodwing Bat King avatar, then seized and refined the Ling Yuan Realm’s origin despite the Demon Emperor, Lie Shanyu, and Di Xiao contesting it.

Gu Yuanqing confronted the Primordial Divine Sect’s account of the devil war, forced the realm domains to withdraw their support, and opened Qingping Grotto-Heaven. There, he advanced through its sword trials and clashed with three sword masters and the Person in the Painting over control of the Dao Palace and its formation.

• Gu Yuanqing escaped the collapsing battlefield and returned to North Spring Grotto-Heaven, while rumors blamed him for the losses in the Human-Devil War.
• Gu Yuanqing exposed Mu Tianheng’s role in the battle at the Ancient Realm Platform and gave the boundary domains ten days to withdraw their Realm Token power.
• Gu Yuanqing defeated the Yan Shen Sect’s defenses and forced the Nether Sea Palace to withdraw its token power, prompting other domains to reopen the Qian Yuan Realm’s Teleportation Array.
