Background / History

Xu Qingying lived with her older brother after their parents disappeared fifteen years before her severe cold-poison crisis. Qingyang regarded her as the most important person in his life and felt responsible for protecting her in their parents’ absence 12.

She supported Qingyang through his repeated attempts to awaken a martial soul. At his thirty-sixth attempt, she celebrated his emperor-rank sword, only to witness its disappearance and his collapse. She kept vigil during his day of unconsciousness and, after he woke, warned him that the First Elder was trying to replace him as the clan’s young master 1 3.
