Qin Shujian emerged from the Marquis of Northcloud's Secondary Residence.
Just as he was about to leave, he noticed Guihai Chuan still standing off to one side.
"Sect Master Guihai!"
Since they had run into each other, he could hardly leave without saying hello.
Guihai Chuan glanced at Thousand Mountain Blood on Qin Shujian's back, then smiled. "It has only been a few days, Sect Master Qin, but your cultivation has advanced again. I imagine it won't be long before you reach the pinnacle of the True Domain."
"My meager cultivation is hardly worth mentioning."
“If the Outer Astral Realm counts as meager, there can't be many experts in the True Domain.” Guihai Chuan smiled before turning serious. “I waited here because there is something I wanted to tell you, Sect Master Qin.”
Qin Shujian frowned. "What is it?"
"When you reach the True Martial Tenth Level, I hope you will fight me!"
"Why?"
"Just a spar to test ourselves against each other." Guihai Chuan shook his head slightly, then cupped his hands. "We will meet again in three days. I look forward to fighting alongside you, Sect Master Qin."
With that said,
he turned and left.
Qin Shujian remained where he stood, watching the other man's retreating back.
Honestly,
he was still utterly bewildered.
He had barely stepped out of the Marquis of Northcloud's Secondary Residence before receiving this peculiar challenge out of nowhere.
The man had called it a spar.
But it was already a challenge in all but name.
And since they were both sect masters, whoever lost would suffer a blow to his reputation.
As for avoiding the fight,
Qin Shujian was not in the habit of changing course just because someone stepped into his path.
"When I reach the True Martial Tenth Level, I'm afraid
