|---|---|---|
| Martial Entry Second Level | 2 | Spends one Life Source to advance the Body Tempering Scripture from its first to second layer; his strength roughly doubles. |
| Martial Entry Fourth Level | 4 | Advances after accumulating 25 Life Source. This increase adds only roughly 30–40% strength, disproving his expectation of repeated doubling. |
| Martial Entry Fifth Level — territorial enhancement | 6 | Becoming Liangshan’s chief grants realm +1 within its territory; his Body Tempering Scripture remains at the fourth layer. |
| Black Tiger Saber Technique — proficient, then perfect mastery | 7 | Spends three Life Source on proficiency and another fifteen on perfect mastery; a test sequence shatters a boulder. |
| Black Tiger Saber Technique — peak perfection | 10 | Spends 75 Life Source. His cultivation realm stays unchanged, but his combat strength rises dramatically. |

Background / History
Third Era incarnation
Qin originally rose from an ordinary mortal to the position of Heavenly Emperor in the Third Era. Opportunity, talent, and fortune enabled him to attain Dao Fruit; Da Yi’s legacy helped him survive several life-and-death crises while he was still weak 1017.
He fought alongside surviving experts of the First and Second Eras, but their effort failed in the Third Era, where he also fell. Awakening his Past-Life Wisdom later restores these memories and makes him aware that the current epoch is approaching its end 741.
Liangshan Stronghold
In his early documented circumstances, Qin is an ordinary mountain-bandit NPC with a damaged saber, ragged clothing, and a low-grade Body Tempering Scripture. He discovers that Life Source can directly improve his techniques and cultivation 2 4.
After killing numerous bandits, he receives a warning that Wu Sheng is searching for the culprit. Rather than risk exposure and exile as a Wandering NPC, Qin approaches the chief under the pretense of supplying information, launches a surprise attack, and overwhelms him with his broken blade and fists 4.
By the time he becomes Liangshan’s chief, Qin finds leadership less liberating than expected. His territory borders rival factions, leaving no neutral route outward, and the chief’s position cannot be voluntarily relinquished. He responds by gathering intelligence, managing the stronghold’s dwindling finances, and assigning practical duties to Zhang Tieniu and Wang Tiezhu 6 7.
Players become both a danger and a major source of growth. Their deaths generate large quantities of Life Source, but their resurrection and rapid advancement threaten the stronghold’s survival. Qin attacks Beginner Village 10021, kills Wei Min, and absorbs its core token to turn Liangshan into a first-tier faction 20 24 27 31 33.
He subsequently absorbs Mingai Mountain and Cloud River Stronghold through overwhelming force and short submission deadlines. Destroying Novice Village 23012 raises Liangshan to a second-level faction, after which he formalizes leadership ranks and rewards senior followers with stronger manuals 39 47 48 77.
Origin Sect and domain advancement
Qin recognizes that most NPCs cannot surpass the ceilings of their cultivation manuals. He begins sharing extrapolated techniques selectively, strengthening trusted leaders while retaining control over advanced instruction 35.
His confrontation with the Undying Evil Lord demonstrates the combined value of physical cultivation, true qi, movement mastery, and saber intent. He rejects the fiend’s offer of immortality and undead command, then fights the source of the demon calamity 107.
Dangerously excessive blood qi eventually forces Qin to seek a breakthrough. Fusing cultivation manuals breaks the Mortal Domain’s limits; his subsequent identity is that of the Origin Sect’s sect master and Liangshan Domain Lord. Established sects recognize the new institution at its founding banquet 117 119 132.
The sect expands through branches, recruitment, and conquest. Qin’s destruction of seven sects supplies immense resources and nearly six thousand prisoners, but also makes neighboring powers fear further expansion. He later introduces cultivation-group assessments, rewards, and rank challenges to encourage disciple development 168 182 310.
After condensing four Cosmic Heavenly Locks, he deliberately waits before advancing. His eventual Spirit Martial breakthrough transforms Liangshan into a Spirit Domain and removes restrictions across the former Liangshan, Cangxi, and Xuanxu True Domains 231 235.
Great Zhao and the wider cultivation world
Qin supplies defensive formations to the Origin Sect and accepts an imperial commission that brings his Array Dao expertise into Great Zhao’s war against rebellious regional lords. His reputation as a possible reincarnated powerhouse grows among both imperial and rebel leaders 319 324.
Although Zhang Yi offers wealth, office, and sole orthodox status for the Origin Sect, Qin refuses to commit to the rebellion. He later kills Du Chengwu at the Imperial City and finishes Shen Hong after joining Gu Changqing’s attack. The restored Human Emperor permits him to keep captured Dao Artifacts and gives him an Array Dao insight crystal 471 493 498 501.
Qin pursues alliances before the routes to the Three Great Continents open. He secures Si Hanhai’s cooperation by warning of threats to humanity, having already allied with the Heavenly Array Sect and Traceless Sect 567.
His forging of Liangshan City into a Six-Seal Dao Artifact, Heavenly Being advancement, and revelation of the Godslayer Saber establish him as the cultivation world’s strongest recognized figure. Rival sects seek accommodation rather than risk the Origin Sect’s retaliation 580 582.
Qin Emperor and Qianyuan Sacred Ground
As Human Emperor, Qin establishes the Qianyuan Sacred Ground to unify the Eastern Continent’s cultivation world. He incorporates the sects into a single institution and orders academies established everywhere, widening access to cultivation knowledge while eliminating independent sect authority 649 654.
He studies treasury-held manuals through more than a hundred spirit-god avatars to develop standardized teachings. When sect remnants attack academies and receive protection from influential clans, he orders spirit searches and collective punishment against those aiding or resisting the crackdown. More than a hundred established families are subsequently destroyed, with hundreds of thousands of cultivators killed 656 657.
Heavenly Emperor
As Heavenly Emperor, Qin travels through the River of Time and retrieves Xia Yi from the past. The feat costs billions of years of lifespan and leaves some of his hair white even after he replenishes his life force from his Inner World. He later recruits Xia Yi through an appeal to humanity’s security rather than coercion 941 943 979.
He supervises Zhang Ergou’s challenge for the Qianyuan Sacred Ground’s Sacred Lord position, creating a battle platform and dismissing its thunder tribulation with a command 1040.
Qin also confronts returning ancient powers. After battling Hongjun, he assigns Hongjun the Death Sea and Luo Hou the Heavenly Abyss under a noninterference agreement. He later receives Pingxin and Shakyamuni, allocating the Fallen Immortal Domain to the Underworld and former Ancient Buddha territory to the Buddhist Order 1100 1101 1111 1153.
Appearance
- Early physique: Initially scrawny; the second layer of the Body Tempering Scripture produces visible muscle growth in his arms 2.
- Early clothing: Tattered shirt and trousers with worn straw sandals, later replaced by the Tiger-Skin Outfit 4 6.
- Transformation: Seventh-level Heaven and Earth Manifestation enlarges him to 3,000 zhang 540.
- White hair: Partly whitens after his costly River of Time journey; he cannot completely reverse the change by replenishing his life force 943.
- Concealed cultivation: After awakening Past-Life Wisdom, he appears to Niu Dali like an ordinary person without cultivation 741.
Personality
Qin is calculating, cautious, and intensely concerned with survival. He studies opponents before committing, postpones dangerous opportunities, and avoids political commitments when the balance of power is uncertain. Even after gaining immense strength, he keeps some capabilities hidden from the Godslayer Saber 4 55 471 574.
His caution coexists with ruthlessness. He uses deception against Wu Sheng, coercion to absorb neighboring strongholds, and loyalty assessments to decide whether defeated cultivators should live. As Qin Emperor, he explicitly prioritizes humanity’s collective future over individual lives and accepts mass killing as a means of enforcing unity 4 39 48 182 654 656.
He is protective of those he accepts as his own. He refuses the Heavenly Martial Sect’s demands for Origin Sect members, arranges protection for Shi Jianfeng, and rewards service with cultivation opportunities. His respect for Xia Yi is especially pronounced: he acknowledges the elder’s sacrifices and preserves his freedom to refuse service 77 231 310 943 979.
Qin is commercially pragmatic and attracted to valuable resources. He negotiates for grain, manuals, weapons, spirit objects, and imperial compensation, even openly asking Chengyun Trading Company to sell goods stolen from its own shipment. He also argues that cultivation should improve life rather than require abandoning worldly enjoyment 82 319 567 620.
Abilities & Skills

- Extrapolation: Extends manuals beyond their original ceilings, overcoming limitations that normally bind other NPCs 35.

- Fortune manipulation: Fuses cultivation manuals, upgrades Dao Artifacts, and converts suitable objects into Fortune Value 117 213 222 421.
- Costs and limits: Extrapolating a new level and directly cultivating it can require separate payments. Manual cultivation after extrapolation offers a cheaper alternative 277.
Cultivation and Physical Strength

- Layered foundation: Multiple perfected manuals give him exceptionally deep blood-qi reserves and rapid recovery 106.

- Seven Leaves Piercing Flowers Palm: Combines the originally agile palm art with overwhelming physical force; ultimately reaches Dao Entry 117 421.

- Heavenly Cloud God-Sealing Finger: Applies destructive and binding power; records complete mastery by his Qin Emperor status panel 528 649.

- Flight: Spirit God manifestation makes him several times faster than he was at the True Martial peak 253.
- External incarnation: Projects a lifelike pure-yang spirit god that astonishes Wu Lang 421.
- Parallel study: Uses more than a hundred avatars to read cultivation manuals, then recalls them to absorb their knowledge 656.

- Later form: His status panel records Dharma Eye as a special ability 421.
Fire and Refinement
- Wisdom King Karmic Fire: Refines valuable spirit objects into Fire Lotuses that can strengthen his spirit god 319.
- Truth-Severing Red Lotus: Its later use against an Evil Fiend confirms that Qin can still absorb the refined result after his cultivation method transforms 421 473.
- Forging application: Controls vast fire seas and spiritual energy when refining Dao Artifacts and city-sized weapons 272 576 587.
Array Dao, Forging, and Alchemy
- Array Dao Grandmaster: Builds a Liangshan-wide Spirit-Gathering Formation that doubles spiritual energy and a hidden defensive formation capable of resisting a powerful Heavenly Being 319.
- Emergency defenses: Entrusts activation stones to Zheng Fang, Zhang Tieniu, and Niu Feng; reserves their use for genuine crises 319.
- Forging: Creates Liangshan City as a Six-Seal Dao Artifact and forges city-shaped Pinnacle Spirit Weapons using Demon Emperor essence blood 580 587.
- Alchemy: His Azure Alchemy Talisman is recorded at Alchemy Dao Grandmaster level 421 649.
- Practical limitation: Large formations exhaust his spiritual sense; expertise alone cannot replace cultivation and spiritual strength 319.
Heaven and Earth Manifestation
- Gigantic form: Enlarges his body sufficiently to uproot and carry whole mountains 540.
- Combat use: Employs the transformation against Du Chengwu, accepting serious injury to secure a decisive attack 493.
- Complete mastery: Provides a lasting twofold strength multiplier whenever used, rather than an enhancement that diminishes as his realm rises 649.
Rules, Inner World, and Time
- Power Rule: Draws strength from heaven and earth, initially increasing his own power by 50%; the enhancement reaches 75% at Fifth Heavenly Being 565 580.
- World-creating cultivation: His developed Inner World supplies immense physical strength and reserves, allowing him to resist Hongjun’s rule-based attacks 1100 1101.
- Zhou Tian Star-Dipper Grand Formation: Sustains reviving star beasts through the Heavenly Cycle Star Chart and his world’s power. An opponent must overpower the formation outright rather than merely try to exhaust it 1101.
- River of Time travel: Observes historical events and retrieves Xia Yi from the past, at enormous lifespan cost 941 943.
- Historical restraint: Avoids interfering in Emperor Zhao’s foundational battle because changing the past could destabilize the future 946.
