Power Progression
Great Thousand World
These milestones concern the original Human Race, not the separate humanity founded inside Qin Shujian’s Inner World.
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Heavenly Being leadership; no living Immortals | 512 554 | Emperor Zhao is humanity’s strongest cultivator. The Eastern Continent’s limited resources prevent the race from developing the strength needed against the Demon Abyss. |
| Eight-Seal Dao Artifact: Heavenly Rankings | 625 | Qin Shujian completes an artifact capable of sealing Nirvana Realm experts and kills the Red-Absolute Emperor. The defending humans lose no Heavenly Being cultivators in the battle. |
| Eight-Seal Dao Artifact: Human Race Monument | 629 630 | Qin completes the monument with Su Zhan and Fire Sage’s assistance; its forging raises Human fortune. |
| Two Human Emperors | 640 643 | Qin gains control over the cultivation world’s fortune, becoming its Human Emperor alongside Emperor Zhao. |
| Nirvana-level reinforcement | 646 647 | The Blackstone Vulture Race submits. Its Nirvana Realm Black Emperor gives humanity a third supreme combatant comparable to its existing two defenders. |
| True Immortal leadership restored | 685 | Emperor Zhao attains the Dao. Qin has not yet become a True Immortal, but his comparable combat strength makes humanity the strongest race in the Four Great Continents. |
| Three openly possessed Ancestral Weapons | 695 | The Heaven-Splitting Halberd returns to Xiao Chengfeng, increasing humanity’s publicly known Ancestral Weapon reserve to three. |
| Four True Immortals | 748 | Xiao Chengfeng survives a five-day Immortality Tribulation and becomes humanity’s fourth True Immortal. Qin and Zhao defeat the opposing emperor-level True Immortals. |
| Broad cultivation resurgence | 861 | Stellar energy, improved inheritances, and the Celestial Court’s establishment produce experts continuously. Humanity could now conquer the earlier Four Great Continents without deploying its True Immortals. |
Qin Shujian’s Inner World
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| First human born | 772 774 | The Human Emperor Rule produces a single male human from chaotic energy. Qin names him Feng. |
| Tenth Heavenly Being founder | 851 | Feng reaches the Heavenly Being limit while still humanity’s sole member, despite concentrating on creating more humans rather than cultivation. |
| Human Race established; first Human True Immortal | 866 | Feng animates clay figures with his blood, survives the Immortality Tribulation, and becomes the Inner World’s second True Immortal. |

| Second-strongest supreme race | 1130 | Humanity ranks behind the Spirit Race among the five surviving supreme races; the others are Dragon, Tiger, and Phoenix. |
| New Ninth-Level Immortal; major consolidation | 1131 | A new Ninth-Level Immortal restores humanity’s momentum. Phoenix surrenders, Tiger seeks Human protection, and the Dragon Emperor’s death brings the Sea Region under Human control. |
Background / History
Ancient Supremacy
Ancient humanity was one of the world’s greatest races in both strength and population; only the Demon Race could rival its numbers. It possessed three Ancestral Weapons. A human supreme powerhouse established the Celestial Court as Heavenly Emperor and ruled the myriad races for ninety thousand years before the Demon Abyss arrived 568 592 600.
The Demon Abyss invasion devastated the Celestial Court and the myriad races. To preserve their lineages, the Human, Demon, and Spirit Emperors sent portions of their peoples overseas. Xia Chao, the youngest son of the ancient Xia Emperor, led the Human refugees whose descendants eventually lived on Heavenly Pattern Island 473 555.
Decline and Isolation
After the ancient order collapsed, humanity endured prolonged warfare and steadily lost its reserves. The Dog Emperor attributes part of that decline to Human predecessors launching costly attacks to defend their former supremacy. Qin’s later journey through the River of Time confirms that repeated conflicts killed established experts faster than humanity could replace them 588 662 947.
Some humans renounced their identity and founded the God Race, seeking to escape humanity’s expected destruction. Emperor Zhao describes their subsequent participation in the war against humanity as especially ruthless 589 592.
Approximately two hundred thousand years before the present, Xia Yi fought the myriad races in humanity’s last decisive stand. He sacrificed half his rule, killed enemy Immortals, and isolated the Eastern Continent behind the Heaven and Earth Seal and Void Turbulence. His intervention preserved humanity, but the battle exhausted its remaining strength 598 642 947.
Isolation did not eliminate the Demon threat. A Demon contingent had entered the Eastern Continent before its separation and subsequently oppressed the weakened humans. Some communities paid tribute in livestock and living people, while others maintained secret resistance 685 946.
Emperor Zhao’s Restoration
Emperor Zhao emerged several thousand years before the present and led humanity’s resurgence. In the battle securing its Eastern Continent foothold, his Ninth Heavenly Being cultivation and powerful human-way rule overcame the Tenth Heavenly Being Demon Emperor. More than a million humans died, but the victory laid the foundation for humanity’s recovery and Great Zhao’s establishment 472 685 946.
During the later rebellion, Zhao’s feigned death exposed internal enemies and invited a Demon invasion. His return restored Imperial authority; rebel lords and their extended families were executed. He then announced a campaign against the Demon Race 500 501.
Return to the Four Great Continents
Zhao sought to reopen the continental barrier because the Eastern Continent alone could not support sufficient growth. After humanity emerged, he defeated the combined opposition of the God, Demon, Blood Spirit, and Ancient Buddha Emperors. Human territory was established within one hundred thousand li of the passage entrance, protected by four fortified cities 512 597 604.
Qin Shujian’s rise supplied another supreme defender, but the broader race remained fragile. Enemy bounties caused heavy casualties outside Human territory, while the Origin Pavilion issued retaliatory missions. Qin’s victories against the Earth Spirit Race and during the Heavenly Rankings’ forging increased Human prestige and weakened its opponents 608 610 612 619 625.
Xia Yi’s remnant soul later made a final attack against the Demon Race, slaying its hidden True Immortal and gravely wounding its emperor before perishing. Qin used the resulting deterrence to extend Human territory three hundred thousand li into the Western Continent 642 643.
Renewed Supremacy and the Celestial Court
Qin secured allies to protect Zhao’s attempt at immortality. Zhao’s successful breakthrough coincided with another assault on Human territory; Qin routed the attackers, destroyed the God Race, and killed the Ancient Buddha Emperor. Humanity thereafter held the strongest position in the Four Great Continents 662 663 685.
The Myriad Races Battlefield initially offered controlled competition and military training. Its conflicts ultimately escalated into a war between True Immortal emperors, ending with decisive Human victory. Qin and Xiao Chengfeng then agreed that a new Celestial Court should unite the races against the Void Fiends and Demon Abyss 700 748 749.
Under the restored Celestial Court, humanity secured five divine positions—more than any other race. Emperor Zhao nevertheless warned that envious rivals might covertly assassinate promising Human cultivators 870. After Qin retrieved Xia Yi through the River of Time, Xia Yi witnessed humanity’s prosperity and eventually settled among its people as a teacher 946 951 979.
Humanity in the Inner World
The Inner World’s humanity arose separately. After Qin introduced the Human Emperor Rule, Feng emerged as its first and initially only human. Unable to reproduce alone, he searched for another means of creating his people. Jianmu advised him that life could arise through the five elements, giving his search a new direction 772 774 851 852.
Feng eventually fashioned clay figures and infused them with his blood. They absorbed spiritual energy and emerged as robust young men and women, greeting him as “Father God.” He established the Human Race as those bearing his bloodline and attained True Immortality through fleshly sainthood 864 866.
Humanity developed into a network of tribes under Feng, then expanded through warfare and the subjugation of lesser races. During the final struggle for supremacy, it defeated the Dragon Race, absorbed the Sea Region, and gained the surrender or protection-seeking allegiance of Phoenix and Tiger. The supplied account ends with Human and Spirit forces confronting each other for World Overlord; no victor is established 1073 1088 1131 1132.
Racial Traits & Cultivation
Talent and Lifespan
Human cultivators combine short natural lifespans with unusually high talent 619.
- Ordinary humans live for approximately one hundred years and can begin cultivation at three to five years old 619.
- Their talent is described as exceptionally high compared with other races, but advancement still depends on resources, cultivation, and survival 619 686.
- Childhood True Martial cultivation is rare in Great Zhao, whereas even the children of Heavenly Pattern Island possess that realm 554.
- Long peace does not guarantee strong cultivators: Shan Hao blames complacency for the Eastern Continent’s small number of Heavenly Beings 608.
Cultivation Foundations
Qin spreads manuals and technical inheritances to strengthen humanity beyond its handful of supreme defenders.
- Universe-Inquiring Dao Scripture — designated humanity’s principal cultivation method and a core academy teaching 660.
- Human Emperor Immortal-Slaying Art — designated its principal martial art; Cui Huai uses it to severely wound a stronger Blood Spirit opponent at considerable personal cost 660 719.
- Human Emperor Alchemy, Forging, and Array Formation Arts — distributed through three inheritance steles. Their teachings unlock according to the practitioner’s existing attainment 692.
- Qianyuan Academy departments — Qin orders every academy to teach the three technical disciplines, broadening humanity’s specialist cultivation base 692.
- Alternative paths to immortality — Qin offers trusted followers traditional cultivation, fleshly sainthood, or forming a world; Shi Jianfeng chooses fleshly sainthood 749.
Fortune and Heavenly Momentum
Racial fortune supports Human authority and can strengthen its defenders.
- Emperor Zhao becomes substantially stronger within Human territory through fortune’s support 611.
- Human fortune remains divided between Great Zhao and the cultivation world. Zhao declines to force unification while external threats make internal conflict dangerous 630.
- Qin’s control over the cultivation world’s fortune establishes his position as its Human Emperor 640.
- Human fortune shields Xia Yi from blood-red thunder during his final battle 642.
- By the Myriad Races Conference, humanity’s fortune rivals or exceeds the Demon Race’s 700.
- Heavenly Momentum is a higher form of fortune contested during the Age of Great Strife, capable of supporting a race’s cultivation and rise 691.
Society & Organization
Great Thousand World
- Great Zhao’s Imperial Court supplies government, armies, and much of humanity’s early high-level combat strength 603.
- Qianyuan Sacred Ground organizes the cultivation world under Qin and admits nonhuman cultivators who swear allegiance 655 677.
- Origin Pavilion operates intelligence networks and bounty missions; its rewards attract large numbers of players from the Three Great Continents 603 612.
- The Four Cities guard the continental passage. Their grand formation grows stronger with each additional Heavenly Being stationed within it 597 608.
- Eastern Continent sovereignty is fiercely defended. Shan Hao rejects Huo Zhan’s proposal to exchange some territory for allies, while Huo questions whether humanity can defend the entire continent alone 608.
Inner World
- Humanity consists of tribes of varying strength, all subject to the Human Emperor 1073.
- Tribal cities serve as trading centers for humans from other communities 1073.
- Humans create their own writing system and invent paper, producing a flourishing literary culture. Their script differs somewhat from the Great Thousand World’s 1073.
- Subordinate races must pay annual tribute. Feigned submission or covert defiance can result in extermination by Human True Immortals 1088.
Strategic Strengths & Weaknesses
| Factor | Documented Effect |
|---|---|
| Exceptional supreme defenders | Zhao and Qin initially compensate for humanity’s weak overall cultivation base 604 647. |
| Limited early reserves | At the time of Qin’s intelligence assessment, humanity has only eight confirmed Great Powers, all belonging to the Imperial Court 603. |
| Attrition | After repeated battles, ordinary Heavenly Beings number around twenty and Great Powers are barely enough to count on one hand 686. |
| Resource disparity | The God Race has the same innate talent as humanity but produces far more experts through superior resources and spiritual energy 686. |
| No surviving ancient Dao guardians | Humanity’s predecessors died protecting it, leaving Zhao’s ascension vulnerable to obstruction by other races’ preserved True Immortals 644 662. |
| Combat-driven growth | Warfare prompts breakthroughs, but those gains come with deaths. One later campaign costs two Heavenly Beings and over a thousand Divine Martial cultivators while producing five new Heavenly Beings 608 735. |
| Restrained intervention | In the Inner World, Qin refuses to decide racial wars himself. The Godslayer Saber likewise cannot freely intervene without disrupting the world’s balance 1078 1080 1130. |
Equipment / Weapons / Items
