Time crept forward bit by bit.
At least, that was how it felt to the young man sitting in a corner of the hall.
After going to considerable trouble to finally get inside, the father and son looked at the starting time displayed on the screen up front, only to discover they still had an hour to wait.
Leaving now was clearly out of the question. If they went out, whether they could keep these seats would no longer be up to them.
Besides, given the old man's status, it would hardly be appropriate for him to keep coming and going.
Being able to sit quietly in a corner and wait was already quite good, really.
The old man had no complaints about this, but his son was growing irritated by the wait.
