Next, Meng Po gave Atamu a Jade Token.
"This Jade Token carries a trace of my aura. Keep it at home, and no evil ghost will dare come near."
Atamu was delighted. He had thought he was just tagging along, never expecting such a pleasant surprise.
He had already decided to enshrine the Jade Token when he got home, then dedicate an entire page of his family genealogy to a detailed account of how he had received it from Meng Po.
"Sister Meng, where's mine?" Little Fairy showed no shyness either. He flew straight over and held out his little hands for a gift.
"Here, take this." Meng Po seemed very fond of the little fellow. She stroked his head, then turned her wrist, and something as transparent as ice appeared in her hand, giving off waves of cold air.
"What's that?" The moment it appeared, Little Fairy could no longer look away. He stared at it fixedly.
"This is millennium cold marrow," Meng Po explained. "Only one piece forms at the bottom of the River of Forgetfulness every thousand years. It's something ice cultivators can only dream of."
As she spoke, she casually tossed it over. Little Fairy shot forward with a whoosh, caught it in his arms, and refused to let go. His intoxicated expression made it look as though he were embracing a beautiful woman.
Then Meng Po turned and walked toward Xia, looking her up and down as she approached.
A Ghost King was still a ghost. In Meng Po's presence, Xia suddenly seemed at a loss.
"How about becoming my disciple?" Meng Po suddenly asked.
"Huh?" Xia froze, then looked at Li Yichen before saying hesitantly, "I don't want to leave my brother."
Meng Po was speechless. This was the first time she had ever
