"Oh..." The guys understood at once.
They had thought the coach was greedy and looking to extort some money. It turned out he had his eye on one of them instead.
Li Yichen smiled and asked, "Coach Pang, do you know us?"
"No." Coach Pang was baffled by Li Yichen's question. "Why are you asking?"
"Heh..." Li Yichen grinned, then called out to Sun Kai and the others, "Run, guys!" With that, he turned and bolted outside.
"Oh... Okay..." The three burst into delighted laughter and followed him out. They were powerful now, so of course they weren't afraid of some coach. Every one of them was brimming with excitement.
After only two steps, Sun Kai turned back and said to Bian Rourou, "Rourou, I'm heading out. I'll come see you in a couple of days."
Coach Pang was stunned. He hadn't expected these guys to show him so little respect and try to run right in front of him.
He immediately blocked Sun Kai's path and shouted, "You're not getting away!" As he spoke, he lowered his body and spread his arms, cutting off Sun Kai's escape completely.
His thinking was simple. He could let Li Yichen and the others run, but he couldn't let Sun Kai get away.
To be fair, Coach Pang's nimble footwork showed that he definitely had training. He might even have retired from the national team. It made sense: Jinling University was one of the country's leading universities, so naturally it wouldn't hire useless hacks.
"Wait for me!" Seeing that the guys had already made it outside the Judo Club, Sun Kai grew anxious.
With Coach Pang still blocking his path, he immediately thought, Why are you still in my way? Can't you see you're holding me up?
