The road of reincarnation?
Jiang Zhizhou and Pei Buji were startled by those words as well, and both immediately turned to Yang Qing.
"Eastern Radiance practiced animal sacrifice—blood sacrifice, at that." Yang Qing looked at the bloodstains in the passage and spoke slowly.
"Perhaps I was mistaken earlier. Though this is not where Eastern Radiance hid its treasures, it is certainly more than a place of death."
Jiang Zhizhou asked, "What do you think this place was used for?"
"If my guess is right, this was a site reserved for Eastern Radiance's sacrificial rites," Yang Qing replied.
Otherwise, there would not have been so many bloodstains left behind.
"Then how do you explain this road of reincarnation?" Jiang Zhizhou asked.
"Reincarnation leads toward death and toward life. This road leads to life, but it also leads to death," Yang Qing said.
In choosing this path, he had been seeking survival amid danger from the start.
But even he could not say what lay ahead.
They could only take one step at a time.
The four of them slowly made their way into the passage.
Yet aside from the blood smeared all over its walls, the passage Yang Qing had called the "Rebirth Road" contained nothing else.
After walking for a while, however, they saw a stone beside the passage.
It was enormous, so large that it almost blocked the entire path, making it difficult to advance even an inch.
"I checked. The gap beside this stone only allows one person through. If we leap over it, though, there's room for two."
Jiang Zhizhou had his reasons for saying this.
The stone had appeared so abruptly that they had no choice but to be wary.
After hearing him out, Yang Qing smiled faintly. "A giant stone on the Rebirth Road can
