Yang Qing entered the Imperial Mausoleum to rescue Gongsun Ze and uncovered the Eastern Splendor Royal Family’s plan to resurrect Emperor Zetian through his body. After the rebirth attempt failed, Emperor Zetian possessed Gongsun Ze and remade Eastern Splendor, leaving Yang Qing and his companions with no choice but to head for the city.

• The Tomb Keepers led Yang Qing and his companions into the Dungeon, where they found Gongsun Ze imprisoned in a suspended iron cage.
• Gongsun Ze explained the bloodline ritual, and Yang Qing’s blood restored his appearance before the group returned to the great hall.
• Gongsun Ze and Gongsun Ru tried to keep Yang Qing and his companions in Upside-Down City, while Mu Feng revealed his royal identity as Gongsun Feng and helped them escape.
• Emperor Zetian appeared to Yang Qing in a dream, revealed the Yang Family’s sacrificial duty, and demanded the Parchment Scroll before ordering Yang Qing to remain in the city.
• Old Xia took the Parchment Scroll and led Yang Qing and his companions to the Sacred Mountain, where Gongsun Ru and Gongsun Ze prepared Yang Qing for Emperor Zetian’s reincarnation.
• Emperor Zetian tried to take Yang Qing’s body, but Mu Feng knocked him aside, and the emperor’s Soul Body possessed Gongsun Ze instead.

Yang Qing and his companions survived the Earth Dragon Upheaval and worked to undermine Emperor Zetian’s plans in Xiangyang City. After becoming its City Lord, Yang Qing uncovered the legacy of the Immortal Thunder Kingdom and entered the Underground Palace, where he and his companions found Heavenly Fragrance Divine Dew.

• Yang Qing traced Emperor Zetian’s conquests into a phoenix shape around the Heavenly Stone and returned to Xiangyang City, where Qin Yue revealed himself and warned him to abandon his plans.
• Qin Yue died after Emperor Zetian’s Divine Soul brought him to Yang Qing, and Jiangli later warned that an Earth Dragon Upheaval was imminent.
• Yang Qing, Bu Er, and Jiang Zhizhou survived the upheaval in a valley, but the earthquake destroyed part of Xiangyang City and buried the resting place and Heavenly Stone.
• Yang Qing recognized that Emperor Zetian was gathering the victims’ resentment, secretly gave relief money to households, and later accepted the appointment as Xiangyang City’s new City Lord.
• While organizing relief and rebuilding, Yang Qing investigated a buried pagoda and learned from Jiangli that finding the Immortal Thunder Kingdom’s treasure had made them targets of those seeking their blood.
• Yang Qing and his companions found a fissure beneath the pagoda base, opened the Time Gate, and entered the Underground Palace, where Wood revealed himself and offered them the Sacred Bone Token.
• Yang Qing refused Wood’s offer, then found Heavenly Fragrance Divine Dew in a courtyard painting and shared it with Bu Er and Jiang Zhizhou.

Yang Qing awakened his Immortal Thunder Kingdom bloodline, recovered the Spirit-Communicating Pearl, and tried to save the Hidden Clan from Yin-Yang Blood. The Divine Turtle led Yang Qing and his companions to the Black Tortoise Heavy Armor, and the arc ended as a new whirlpool pulled Yang Qing and Wood under.

• Wood led Yang Qing, Bu Er, and Jiang Zhizhou to the Hidden Clan, where the Old Clan Chief revealed Yang Qing’s Immortal Thunder Kingdom bloodline and sacrificed himself to awaken the visitors’ Divine Bloodlines.
• Wood explained that the Spirit-Communicating Pearl could protect the Hidden Clan and led Yang Qing and his companions into the Underground Palace beneath the Lake.
• Yang Qing and his companions crossed the Wheatfield, identified its red-eyed harvesters as Living Dead guardians, and found the Spirit-Communicating Pearl in a formation.
• Yang Qing opened the pearl’s special box with his blood and escaped the collapsing Underground Palace with Wood, Bu Er, and Jiang Zhizhou.
• The Great Elder used the Demon Pearl and a life-extension secret art to gather Hidden Clan members, while Yin-Yang Blood turned many of them against Yang Qing’s group.
• Bu Er’s blood briefly cured a tainted clansman, but it awakened the Bloodthirst Factor, and the Hidden Clan members attacked Wood’s house to seize him.
• Jiangli dissolved the Spirit-Communicating Pearl inside Yang Qing, who used its power and Restraint Talismans to restrain and treat the tainted clansmen as the Divine Turtle flooded the settlement.
• Yang Qing, Bu Er, and Jiang Zhizhou awakened the Black Tortoise Heavy Armor on the Divine Turtle, then helped Wood receive armor of his own before a whirlpool pulled Yang Qing and Wood away.

Yang Qing and his companions inherited Black Tortoise’s power and learned that Emperor Zetian sought to return to the Heavenly Realm by taking Yang Qing’s body. After escaping the Hidden Clan grounds and destroying a deadly village formation, they reached Rosy Cloud Mountain to investigate the Emperor’s plan.

• The Black Tortoise Deputy General revealed that Yang Qing and his companions had inherited Black Tortoise’s power and must confront Emperor Zetian, while Yang Qing resisted the armor’s influence and claimed the Nine-Section Whip.
• Yang Qing’s group discovered that the Hidden Clan members had died from fear, buried them, and escaped the flooded settlement with Mo Yang, who joined them despite his lost memories.
• Death warriors ambushed the group, but Yang Qing and his companions fought them off, with Mo Yang displaying a mysterious fighting skill.
• Yang Qing uncovered a Qi-Gathering Mother-Child Formation beneath a village’s great locust tree and waited until it was strong enough for Bu Er and Jiang Zhizhou to destroy it, exposing human remains inside the tree.
• Bu Er and Wood connected strange incidents in nearby villages to Rosy Cloud Mountain and reported that Emperor Zetian had stayed there for forty-nine days, leading Yang Qing to suspect the emperor they had encountered was an impostor.
• Yang Qing’s group found a concealed Reversal formation on Rosy Cloud Mountain and followed Bu Er’s discovery of a suspended path through the treetops.
• Yang Qing learned that Emperor Zetian needed to seize his Flesh Embryo to return to the Heavenly Realm and vowed to ruin his plan.
