The Taotie King jerked his head up, his crimson human eyes bloodshot, and let out a shrill, crazed roar.
Then a scene unfolded that sent chills down everyone's spine.
He reached beneath his armpits, digging all ten fingers into the masses of dark green light.
He was gouging out his own eyes. The two eyes growing beneath his armpits were torn straight out of their sockets.
Riiip—!
Two piercing sounds of tearing flesh rang out. The Taotie King had ripped the two sinister eyes beneath his armpits out of his flesh, roots and all!
Inky green blood gushed down his arms and dripped onto the ground, eating away little pits that gave off black smoke. A powerful stench of blood and rot instantly filled the air.
Yet he seemed to feel no pain at all. Instead, a strange, crazed smile spread across his face.
He stuffed the two green-glowing eyes, still twitching faintly, straight into his enormous maw, crunched them to pieces, and swallowed them whole!
"Urgh—"
On the ground, several young Special Affairs Bureau operatives turned pale at the sight of him gouging out his eyes and swallowing them raw. They bent over, retching.
This time, what emerged from his mouth was neither a fireball nor a breath attack—it was an eye. An enormous, pitch-black eye with no white at all.
The eye floated out of his mouth and rapidly expanded. Like a drop of ink falling into clear water, it spread through the air into a black curtain that blotted out the sky. The sun vanished completely behind it.
Darkness engulfed heaven and earth. The instant the eye appeared, it devoured every last trace of light in the sky!
The day had been clear and sunny, but the moment that black-hole eye appeared, the sun was completely obscured.
