This was no cave formed by geological processes. The broken rock along its edges was jagged, with obvious signs of devouring... it had been gnawed. These were the surfaces left behind after the rock had been bitten apart, swallowed, and digested, mouthful by mouthful.
Heavenly Demons had done this.
Chen Hao stood at the edge of the entrance and probed inside with his divine sense.
The hole was not deep. It bottomed out a little over eighty meters down. But at the bottom was not rock. It was a spatial rift.
A twisted, black rupture in space with irregular edges.
It was fairly large, fifty meters across.
It was not a spatial passage opened by a mighty cultivator of the primordial era. There were no traces of formations, no stabilizing structure, no spiritual energy guiding it.
It had simply been torn open.
Devoured into existence.
Some kind of Heavenly Demon... one that could devour the void itself... had forcibly bitten a path between the Moon and Pluto.
Pluto was five to six billion kilometers from the Moon.
Voyager 1 would need over a hundred years to travel that distance.
But the Heavenly Demons used another method.
They did not cross the distance. They ate it.
Chen Hao stared at the spatial rift for three seconds.
Then he stepped into it.
There was no light inside the spatial passage.
It was not dark. The very concept of light did not exist there.
The twisted void flowed around him. The passage walls... if they could even be called walls... were covered in gnaw marks. The fibrous structure of space had been torn apart, its fragments drifting through nothingness.
The passage was not long.
For Chen Hao, crossing it took less than five seconds.
Five seconds later, he emerged from the other end.
