There were too many comments. Too much conflicting information. Nothing made sense.
Then one comment caught Chen Siyao's eye.
The username was "Old Chen from South Mountain Observatory."
Just three words.
"Pluto has vanished."
Chen Siyao stared at that comment for two seconds.
Three words.
Yang Wanqing saw it too. She grabbed Chen Siyao's sleeve.
The comments fell silent for less than a second, then exploded.
Hundreds upon thousands of comments surged in at once.
"What do you mean??"
"Pluto vanished? Who said that?"
"South Mountain Astronomical Observatory? Does that account really belong to someone from the observatory?"
"I checked. The account is verified. They really are a researcher at South Mountain Observatory."
Another astronomy enthusiast posted, "After that flash, Pluto vanished. We can't observe it anymore."
"Are you kidding? How could a planet vanish?"
"What happened to Pluto?"
"Pluto most likely exploded and disappeared into space."
Chen Siyao said nothing. Her hand remained motionless around the Recording Crystal.
More comments poured in.
Another account... "Purple Mountain Astronomy Rookie" posted a long comment: "We made observations immediately after the flash. Pluto's original position... empty. Nothing there. Charon is still there, but its orbit has already shifted. Pluto itself is gone."
"Couldn't it be blocked? Could something be obscuring it?"
"No. We've already run the orbital calculations. Pluto's gravity has disappeared. Charon is drifting."
"That's impossible..."
"Could it be an observation error?"
"Three observatories have confirmed it simultaneously. It isn't an error."
"Pluto... that flash... wait..."
"The High God went to Pluto."
"The High God went to Pluto to deal with the Heavenly Demons. Then Pluto vanished."
"..."
"No way."
"So that flash was..."
The comments suddenly froze for a moment.
The viewer count was jumping.
It shot straight from 370 million to 540 million.
