The blade hummed again, even more weakly than before.

Qian Wanyu chuckled, then suddenly asked Ding Ding, "You just ate your fill. Do you still want to eat?"

Ding Ding actually rubbed its little belly. "Hungry."

After all that chasing and carrying a huge stone, the energy it had swallowed earlier seemed almost completely digested. Its black eyes glittered as it stared at the sword. It had sniffed it earlier; hidden inside this blade was a much larger source of energy than before.

The sword trembled in fright, but soon hummed again.

"Right, right." Although Ding Ding did not particularly like Qian Wanyu's aura either, it stood firmly by its own people and nodded without thinking, looking particularly obsequious. "Eat it."
