This time, however, the responsibility had fallen to two gluttons.

A string of clinks and clanks from clashing claws rang through the cramped cave, occasionally punctuated by an ear-piercing scrape. Fragments tumbled off the stone walls as two swift figures collided in midair. Whenever that happened, Jian Tongyao slipped outside the cave and took the chance to get some fresh air.

"Little Lecher, will it really be all right for Seventh Sister to take all those people with her?"

"Better she takes them than leaves them here." Little Lecher climbed a large tree outside the cave, moving as swiftly as a monkey, and gazed into the distance for a while. "Two death seeds have erupted completely lately. The Purple Demon Mountains aren't very safe anymore, either. Ding Ding ran into a pack of living dead magic beasts while hunting yesterday. Luckily, it's not stupid enough to bring them back."
