Childhood and Qing Mo

Wanyu was born to Qian Yiling and Lance. After fleeing pursuers seeking the Dragon-Trapping Valley’s key, Yiling entrusted her daughter to the Dongfang Family and disappeared from her life 366.

Growing up as Dongfang Wanyu, she endured years of oppression. The original Dongfang Minghui killed her puppy and made it into a dish for her to eat. The later Minghui’s gentleness toward animals eventually helped Wanyu recognize that she was fundamentally different from the cruel Ninth Young Miss she remembered 93.

During an act of rebellion, Wanyu discovered a Seven-Colored Stone and an egg. A fragment of Qing Mo’s soul entered her Soul Sea from the stone, beginning their dependence on one another for survival 191.

Royal Academy and the Assassination Investigation

Wanyu partnered with Mu Sheng during the Inner Sect assessment, recognizing the usefulness of his plant-based support despite his weak appearance. She combined earth attacks, electricity, her whip, and a flying sword to hunt magical beasts and absorb their cores 34.

After repeated attacks on Minghui, Wanyu used Rose House’s intelligence network to capture Murong Qingyi. Wanyu followed Minghui’s coded marks to Dream Capital and infiltrated the Qian residence disguised as Li Yunan’s guard. There, she reunited with Minghui and was recognized as Qian Yiling’s daughter through her resemblance and a birthmark.
