Dongfang Minghui and Qian Wanyu returned to Dream Capital as death seeds spread and the Spirit Exorcist Guild hunted Dark-Type Spirit Masters. Qian Wanyu forced the guild to cooperate against the death aura, while Dongfang Minghui learned that the Merfolk were expanding their territory and the guild was debating what to do with children awakened to dark power.

• Dongfang Minghui and Qian Wanyu traveled toward Snow Capital, where Dongfang Minghui met Duan Yichen’s group, discovered Bian Lingyun was a remnant soul, and entered the Spirit Exorcist Guild’s orbit.
• Dongfang Minghui returned to the Thousand Family and witnessed Lance’s memories with Qian Wanyu, then posted a mission for royal Merfolk tears and began preparing for their wedding.
• Qian Wanyu and Dongfang Minghui helped expose a death seed in Mo Lu’s formation, but its release engulfed much of Dream Capital in death aura and left Qian Wanyu briefly missing.
• Dongfang Minghui and Qian Wanyu uncovered Qian Zhuoqian’s buried bone and a black bone carrying Death Aura in Qian Zhuoyin’s courtyard, while Dongfang Minghui organized treatment for those afflicted.
• A second death seed erupted over North City, and Qian Wanyu entered the death aura as Chu Lingge and reinforcements arrived, and Qian Wanyu later promised Mo Lu a new Blood-Sacrifice Formation and learned more about Meng Ruo Yu.
• Qian Wanyu detonated a third death seed on the Thousand Family back mountain, made Dark-Type Spirit Masters absorb its aura, and secured the Spirit Exorcist Guild’s cooperation under threat of retaliation.
• Dongfang Minghui traded a death-aura suppressant for a mercenary report that the Merfolk were expanding and working with human assassins, then learned the guild was debating how to deal with children awakened to dark power.

Qian Wanyu rescued the dark-type children and destroyed Meng Ruo Yu’s remains, but the black substance she absorbed left her vulnerable to control. Dongfang Minghui investigated the Dream Family and sought a cure while preparing their wedding, until Qian Wanyu fell under the silk’s influence.

• Qian Wanyu secured sixteen dark-type children from the Spirit Exorcist Guild and absorbed black substance from Meng Ruo Yu’s bones while destroying his remains.
• Qian Wanyu exposed the false Qian Zhuoyin as Dan Qi and confronted Qian Zihang over his crimes, but a restriction seal prevented him from revealing the truth.
• Qian Wanyu trained the dark-type Spirit Masters while Dongfang Minghui investigated the Dream Family and its connection to the contaminated bones.
• Dream Seer admitted his role in the Longevity Clan’s curse and demanded the Elf Heart in exchange for a way to undo Qian Wanyu’s contamination.
• Wei Junlan brought Merfolk to seek antidotes, and Dongfang Minghui restored Lance’s sight with Merfolk Pearls as Qian Wanyu began arranging their marriage.
• Dongfang Minghui investigated an attack on Little Light and Ding Ding, and Xuanzhu suggested that a Death Spirit Master might be hiding among the Thousand Family’s guests.
• Dongfang Minghui tricked Dream Seer with a painted Merfolk Pearl and heard his claim about a heart-blood cure before the Imperial Family found his estate burned and a body identified as his.
• Qian Wanyu wandered to the Back Mountain under the silk’s control, and Xuanzhu revealed that a loved one’s heart blood could free her at the cost of a life.

Dongfang Minghui sacrificed herself to restore the Elf Clan, leaving Qian Wanyu to search for a way to bring her back. Reborn as Jian Tongyao without her memories, she recovered them and joined Qian Wanyu in fighting the Death Spirit Masters, and the pair left the Elf Clan to continue their journey.

• Qian Wanyu and Dongfang Minghui fled the Thousand Family’s destruction through a passage to the ravaged Elf Clan, where Dongfang Minghui used the Elf Heart to restore the Tree of Life.
• Dongfang Minghui sacrificed herself to protect Qian Wanyu and the Elf Clan, becoming the Sacred Tree, while Xiu Qi stopped the attacker and promised to protect Qian Wanyu for a year.
• Qian Wanyu searched for a way to revive Dongfang Minghui, then awakened Jian Tongyao from the Ice Coffin and helped her learn to transform into a dragon.
• Qian Wanyu traveled with Jian Tongyao, trained her to fight, and investigated Death Spirit Master activity while seeking a way to advance and uncover her lost memories.
• Qian Wanyu and Jian Tongyao reached the Elf Clan, where Jian Tongyao cultivated beneath the Tree of Life and remembered her past, including that she had once been Dongfang Minghui.
• Qian Wanyu and Jian Tongyao left the Elf Clan with two puppet Elves, fought Dark Elf attackers, and persuaded Mo Han to lead them toward a Death Spirit Master gathering place.
• Qian Wanyu and Jian Tongyao revisited their old cave in the Purple Demon Mountains, where Jian Tongyao remembered the Lightning Mouse and Qian Wanyu fought the mountain’s Guardian for three days.
