Jun Wangchen won the Rough Stone Contest in spectacular fashion by cutting out a piece of Glass-Type Imperial Green jadeite. After collecting his winnings of two and a half million, he went straight to the bank with Xu Yirou to arrange the transfer.
There was no other choice. This transfer amounted to a hundred million and could only be processed through a bank.
Once the transaction was complete, Xu Yirou treated Jun Wangchen to a meal to express her gratitude. She also said that if he wanted to gamble on stones again, she would gladly set aside her work to accompany him. She would cover the cost of the rough stones, and he would give her first refusal on any jadeite he extracted.
Naturally, Jun Wangchen had no objections. Still, he probably would not gamble on stones again anytime soon. Finding jadeite twice in a row had already attracted plenty of attention. If he kept going, he could easily expose his Fiery Golden Eyes ability.
It was already eight in the evening when he parted ways with Xu Yirou. Jun Wangchen had no intention of wandering around outside and planned to return to his dormitory first to think carefully about how to use this enormous sum.
At a bus stop on a street corner, Jun Wangchen was just about to hail a taxi when he suddenly felt a sinister gust sweep toward him. A sense of danger surged through his heart.
His eyes narrowed slightly. His half-raised hand abruptly dropped, and he turned into a deserted patch of woods.
When he reached roughly the middle of the woods, he suddenly stopped.
The summer breeze rustled the leaves, sending eerie waves of whistling through the silent night.
Rotating his arm, Jun Wangchen looked ahead and to his right, his gaze sharp.
