Moonlight spilled through the pitch-black woods, and whistling gusts rose amid flashes of lightning.
Watching the blades of lightning mere inches away, Jun Wangchen broke into a cold sweat and wrote even faster in the air.
As Jun Wangchen traced the characters stroke by stroke, an immense literary aura slowly emerged from him, forming white clouds that blended with the moonlight.
At the same time, every plant, insect, and animal in the woods stirred, as though sensing something terrifying.
"One Man Holds the Pass, Ten Thousand Cannot Open It!" Jun Wangchen growled, abruptly stopping his hand.
In an instant, the phrase he had written in the air shone brilliantly. Rather than vanishing as usual, it slowly floated upward, churning and rising like a dragon of literary energy about to soar into the heavens.
Then the cloud of literary energy above Jun Wangchen trembled. As though discovering a delicious treat, it suddenly swallowed the phrase he had written in a single gulp.
After devouring the floating characters, the cloud of literary energy turned into a streak of white light and surged into Jun Wangchen's body.
"What the fucking hell!" Jun Wangchen stared blankly at it all and immediately cursed.
He had written that phrase to deal with the masked man, not himself!
As cold sweat covered his forehead, the masked man's blades were already upon him.
"Am I going to die?" Jun Wangchen gave a bitter smile and closed his eyes in regret.
Looking back, my life really has been a miserable mess.
When I was little, we had nothing. We couldn't even afford a full meal.
When I got a little older, people at school constantly mocked me as a fatherless bastard. When I went home, I still had to force a smile.
*I finally got into a good university
