Randall returned to the G-1 Branch once more.
The G-1 Branch had been repaired and looked brand-new.
When Randall returned, all the soldiers spontaneously gathered at the port to welcome him.
They had already received word that Randall had given all the military credit from his latest mission to Totto Land to the soldiers under his command.
When they heard the news, they were moved to tears.
At the same time, they became even more determined to follow Randall for the rest of their lives.
Back at the base, Randall stopped roaming around.
He had gained a great deal from his battle with Whitebeard and needed time to digest it all.
And so, six years passed, bringing them to the year 1508 of the Sea Circle Calendar.
During those six years, the Great Pirate Era ushered in by the Pirate King actually showed signs of cooling down.
After all, most of the newer pirates had been lured by the promise of One Piece and impulsively set out to sea.
But to obtain One Piece, they first had to enter the New World.
Now, however, a genuine monster was stationed at the entrance to the New World.
Not only was this monster incredibly powerful, but he was also exceptionally bloodthirsty, his attitude toward pirates bordering on outright extermination.
The threat of death brought most people back to their senses.
That was not an obstacle they could overcome through sheer recklessness.
And if they could not reach the New World, they naturally had no chance of finding the treasure the Pirate King had left behind.
As a result, many people harboring unrealistic dreams lost heart.
