Randall sighed and kissed Caris on the cheek while Christa watched with an expression that said she could hardly bear to look.
Then he walked over to the desk and answered the call.
"What is it?"
On the other end, Sengoku froze.
What got into this kid? Why did he sound so annoyed?
Still, he paid it no mind and got straight to the matter at hand.
"Randall, we're holding an emergency meeting here.
You won't make it back in time, so join us over the Den Den Mushi."
Randall raised an eyebrow.
An emergency meeting?
Randall, who had planned to brush him off, sat down instead.
"All right, then."
Christa looked at Randall, pointed at herself, then pointed toward the door.
Randall shook his head.
Then a voice came from the other end:
"The World Government has been infiltrated!"
"What?"
"No way!"
"Who would have the nerve?"
"Something like that should've caused quite a stir. How come none of us heard about it?"
The announcement sent ripples through the room, setting everyone on the other end talking.
Randall froze.
Damn, Dragon really had some guts.
Sengoku's voice rang out. "Quiet!"
The voices on the other end immediately fell silent.
Then Sengoku spoke again:
"This infiltration was different from the earlier slave liberation incident.
The Holy Land wasn't damaged, but quite a few classified documents were lost."
Now everyone understood. The intruders had come for something specific.
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, who exactly was it?"
Sengoku's tone soured as he uttered the name: "The Revolutionary Army."
The other end suddenly went silent.
But a booming laugh followed right after.
"Bwahahaha! The World Government really is useless!
They let a bunch of petty thieves rob them right under their noses!"
"Garp!"
The sound of a fist slamming into a desk came through.
