Liu Qing and Wallace walked down from the battle area. As they switched sides, the battlefield slowly sank, revealing a new arena. There was still a pool in the middle, but land surrounded it, with stone lanterns and strange structures standing around the edges.
"Liu Qing, you did an excellent job seizing opportunities, controlling the battle, and coordinating your Pokémon just now. Now, here comes my third contender. Go, Luvdisc!" Wallace threw a Poké Ball, releasing a pink, heart-shaped Pokémon.
"Go, Slowking!" Liu Qing sent out Slowking again and gave the first command. "Confusion!"
"Luvdisc, dodge and use Water Pulse!" Wallace commanded calmly.
As Slowking used Confusion to try to catch Luvdisc, the little Pokémon displayed extraordinary agility, repeatedly evading its psychic grasp before firing a water-blue orb of light at Slowking.
"Protect!" Liu Qing ordered without a trace of panic. Slowking looked just as relaxed, its hands behind its back. Watching the incoming Water Pulse, it flashed with pale green light, blocking the attack just in time.
"Luvdisc, use Sweet Kiss!" Wallace commanded with his eyes lowered.
The instant Protect vanished, Luvdisc leaped out of the water and reached Slowking, firing a pink heart that struck it squarely on the forehead.
"Sweet Kiss is a move that confuses the opponent. What will you do now, Liu Qing?" Wallace still had his eyes lowered, not looking at the battlefield. His question made Liu Qing want to laugh.
"Grandpa Wallace, Slowking's Ability is Oblivious. It can't be confused." Liu Qing smiled and commanded, "Catch it!"
