Lucario's aura was already linked with Liu Qing's. The moment Liu Qing thought of Aura Sphere, Lucario sensed it, so as soon as the command left Liu Qing's lips, the sphere shot out and struck Milotic, exploding with a boom.
"Using a Dragon-type move to counter another Dragon-type move, then swiftly striking back. An excellent tactic indeed, but..." Watching Milotic begin to pant, Wallace calmly commanded, "Milotic, use Recover!"
"It won't be that easy! Lucario, Flash Cannon!" Liu Qing hurriedly commanded as a bright yellow healing glow enveloped Milotic.
"To maintain good results in Pokémon Contests, you must keep your body's luster in peak condition. Recover is indispensable to Milotic, and that is why it takes so little time to use." Watching Lucario gather and fire a metallic beam, Wallace commanded, "Milotic, Iron Tail!"
"What?" As Liu Qing looked on in mild surprise, the glow around Milotic quickly faded, restoring its original magnificent sheen. Milotic swung its tail, which gleamed with metallic light, and slammed it down against Flash Cannon, triggering a tremendous explosion. Although Milotic blocked the attack, the explosion's shock wave still swept it backward with the surging water. Lucario had jumped early to avoid the shock wave and fired an Aura Sphere at Milotic.
"Milotic, Hydro Pump!" Wallace hurriedly commanded.
"Mii~" Milotic gave a soft cry, opened its mouth, and swiftly gathered energy before firing a massive jet of water toward Aura Sphere. But the churning waves threw its aim off, and the jet skimmed past Aura Sphere, shooting straight toward Lucario instead.
"There's our opening! Lucario, Blaze Kick!" Liu Qing's eyes lit up as he shouted the command.
Facing the oncoming jet, Lucario ignited fierce flames around its foot and delivered a powerful side kick.
