A highway connected Cerulean City and Saffron City, making the drive convenient, with towns along the way where travelers could stop and rest. A few days later, Liu Qing found the Battle Factory in the forest outside Cerulean City. Just as he drove up, a red sports car came racing out of the forest from the other side. Scott sat inside and greeted him. "Hey, Liu Qing! You got here fast!"
"Your timing is even more impressive, Mr. Scott." Liu Qing had never expected to hide his whereabouts from Scott, but having someone catch up with him so "coincidentally" still rubbed him the wrong way.
"I can't help it. I love watching battles, so I go to watch every Pokémon Trainer's challenge in the Battle Frontier. I'd be letting myself down if I didn't hurry." Scott paid no mind to Liu Qing's remark. He parked and got out. "I wonder what kind of intense battle you'll show us this time, Liu Qing! Oh, looks like this fellow couldn't sit still either after hearing you beat Haruka!"
As Scott spoke, a man in his thirties wearing a red cap and a white, short-sleeved, stand-collar coat walked out of the factory, accompanied by a boy in a red shirt and gray trousers.
"Is he the Frontier Brain of the Battle Factory?" Liu Qing asked Scott.
"Dara, this is the first time I've seen you this eager instead of tinkering with those treasures of yours!" Rather than answering Liu Qing, Scott addressed the approaching man. "Here's your challenger. Why don't you introduce yourself?"
"Heh, there's not much to introduce. I'm the man in charge of this Battle Factory, Frontier Brain Dara!" Dara tugged down the brim of his cap, putting on a stoic air. After introducing himself, he introduced the boy beside him.
