Hu Jiaxing and Zhao Lifang felt warmth fill their hearts when they saw how thoughtful their son was. They certainly hadn't raised him for nothing!
Although they knew what Hu Bin was going to do that day, Hu Jiaxing and Zhao Lifang chose not to ask. Instead, they feigned curiosity and asked, "Why did you make so much? Don't tell me tonight's dinner is all in there too!"
Hu Bin smiled and said, "Yep! That's dinner for you two. Just heat it up when you get home, and it'll be ready to eat. There's enough for Charizard and Altaria too, and their Pokéblocks are on the cabinet!"
Hu Jiaxing deliberately asked, "What, are you planning to stay out all night?"
Hu Bin nodded. "Yep. I'm going on a training trip with Uncle today. It's a bit far away, so we'll need to camp!"
Hu Jiaxing and Zhao Lifang exchanged a look. What else could they do? Keep playing along and pretend they hadn't noticed?
Hu Jiaxing and Zhao Lifang nodded, and Hu Jiaxing said, "All right. Make sure you stay safe, and pack plenty of supplies!"
Zhao Lifang chimed in, "That's right. Don't just bring first aid supplies for your Pokémon. Bring some for yourself too, in case you need them!"
Hu Bin smiled at his concerned parents and said, "Don't worry. Have a little faith in your son. I've got everything ready!"
After breakfast, Hu Jiaxing and Zhao Lifang left for work as usual.
Hu Bin kept his eyes fixed on his parents' retreating backs. I'll definitely come back. Tomorrow, I'll make you another delicious breakfast!
