Volkner waved a hand with a wry smile. "Your strength is honestly terrifying. At this Sinnoh Pokémon League Conference, I bet plenty of people will say you're a monster!"
Hu Bin brushed it off. "Hmph! No, they won't. Even if I'm strong, I still have to earn recognition, don't I? Besides, I've only entered one Pokémon League Conference so far. Take Ash, who you battled before-he's entered loads of them, and he's placed pretty well every time! I'm still just a baby myself!"
Volkner's expression turned odd. Even Hu Bin knew that hot-blooded boy Ash now, and Volkner couldn't refute what he had said. Hu Bin really had only entered one Pokémon League Conference; his strength had simply improved far too quickly. Compared with Ash, Hu Bin had indeed entered very few conferences. By that comparison, Ash's track record after entering so many looked rather tragic!
Volkner walked Hu Bin to the entrance and said, "Let's battle again when you have time!"
Hu Bin nodded. "Sure, no problem. Also, Gym Leader Volkner, do you need any Pokéblocks?"
Caught off guard by the sudden question, Volkner nodded. "Of course. With all the Pokémon I have, Pokéblocks are essential!"
Hu Bin smiled and took a small jar of Pokéblocks from his bag. "Here, this is a free sample for you. If they work well, you can buy more from me. Two hundred thousand for a large jar, a fair price for everyone!"
Volkner accepted the Pokéblocks in a daze. Looking at their flawless sheen and shape, he drew in a sharp breath. This was definitely master-level craftsmanship, the kind that was almost impossible to get on the market. And Hu Bin was selling them for two hundred thousand a jar? What an incredible bargain!
Volkner made up his mind on the spot.
