In the Mountain Graveyard, Obito watched White Zetsu slowly emerge from underground and asked a question.
"How did it go? Any news of Isobu? Didn't you say that when a jinchūriki dies, their tailed beast disappears for a while but soon reappears in the shinobi world? How long has it been now? Why haven't we heard anything?"
White Zetsu spread his hands.
"No news at all. We've searched practically the entire shinobi world and found no sign of a tailed beast appearing anywhere. But we did discover something huge."
"What?"
"Your teacher Minato's wife, Kushina Uzumaki, is pregnant."
"Pregnant? How is that good news?"
Black Zetsu emerged at just the right moment, attaching himself to White Zetsu and turning their body half black and half white.
"When a jinchūriki gives birth, the seal inside her weakens. Back in the day, Madara Uchiha forced the Nine-Tails to sign a Summoning Contract, and he left that contract behind.
"In other words, if you use the Summoning Technique on the day the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki gives birth, you can forcibly break through the Nine-Tails' seal and summon him."
"The Nine-Tails!"
Obito sank into thought.
Seeing Obito actually hesitate, Black Zetsu immediately tried to tempt him.
"What is it, Obito? After everything that's happened, what are you still hesitating over?
"Do you think you can still return to Konoha?
"Have you forgotten Rin's death?
"Or do you still have hope for this world?"
"Hmph."
Obito snorted, looking up to give Black Zetsu an icy glance.
"I know what I need to do. I don't need you provoking me. I was just thinking: so what if you know Kushina is pregnant?
"A jinchūriki's pregnancy is classified information in any shinobi village. How are you going to find out her exact due date?"
"Hehehe. You don't need
