Shisui awoke from his slumber in a guest room at the Daimyo's Mansion in the Land of Grass.

"Where am I? The Pure Land?"

Shisui looked around in confusion at the lavish furnishings, the ivory screen, and the animal-hide rug on the floor. Even the quilt covering him was made of precious silk.

Other than the Pure Land, he really couldn't imagine any place with so many fine things.

He threw back the quilt, got out of bed, and stretched his limbs. Only then did Shisui realize that he could see again.

"My eyes! And not just my eyes-my body, too."

Shisui discovered that not only had his eyes recovered, but even the lingering internal injuries in his body had healed.

"Just as I thought, this must be the Pure Land. After people die, they enter the Pure Land in their best condition."

He pushed open the door and stepped outside into an enormous courtyard. As he walked through it, he felt as though he had entered a maze.

After wandering around for a while, he arrived in a garden.

There, he saw someone who was both familiar and unfamiliar.

He had often seen this person back in Konoha, yet had never met him in person.

That man was none other than Konoha's Second, Tobirama Senju.

Sitting with Tobirama Senju were two other people whose faces seemed unfamiliar yet vaguely recognizable. Why did that spiky-haired man look so much like Itachi's younger brother, Sasuke?

"Hey, young man, you're awake. Come on over."

Because of what had happened with Danzo, Tobirama had begun reflecting on his past decisions.

But he didn't want to speak with Izuna alone, so he had invited Tetsuya along.

Yet those two stubborn men had simply sat there, refusing to say a word, leaving Tetsuya thoroughly bored.
