With the show over, Tetsuya had no desire to linger.
All that remained was to wait for Kakashi and the others to head to the Land of Waves, protect its people while they built the bridge, and fight their second round against Zabuza and his group.
"Let's go. The show's over, so let's visit the local rich man's house in the Land of Waves and have a nice meal. We're here to solve their problems. Surely they can at least treat us to dinner."
"Daimyo Chiba, shouldn't I go down and exchange a few moves with Kakashi?"
"You? Exchange a few moves with Kakashi?"
Tetsuya looked at Sasuke in surprise, barely able to contain the grin beneath his mask.
The skies have cleared, the rain has stopped, and now you think you've got what it takes again, Uchiha Sasuke?
"What, Daimyo Chiba? You don't think I'm a match for Kakashi? He may have a Sharingan with three tomoe, but he only has one.
Besides, anyone who isn't from our Uchiha Clan has a very hard time using the Sharingan. If I fought him, I think the outcome would be far from certain."
Sasuke was brimming with confidence as he spoke. He truly didn't think much of Kakashi at all.
Perhaps, in his mind, Kakashi only had one three-tomoe eye, while he had a pair of two-tomoe eyes. That added up to four tomoe, and four was greater than three, so he ought to be stronger than Kakashi.
Tsk, what could I say? That's Sasuke for you.
Every time he picked an opponent, he managed to pinpoint someone stronger than himself.
"Don't rush, Sasuke. You'll have chances to fight later. Besides, Kakashi just fought a major battle. What's the point of challenging him now?
Wait a while and let him recover.
