Sasuke's Fire Release instantly vaporized most of the ice spikes. He simply ignored the ones behind him.
Blade in hand, he charged straight into the flames.
Haku watched the raging flames swallow his Ninjutsu and continue surging toward him.
Before the flames could reach him, however, a white-clad figure burst out of them, the long blade in his hand dazzling in the firelight.
That dazzling blade thrust straight toward his throat.
Haku immediately gripped his senbon and raised it to block.
Clang!
The senbon caught the long blade, deflecting its silvery edge a few inches away from his throat and into his shoulder.
Blood sprayed, staining the blue-white ice crystals behind Haku crimson.
Haku's eyes widened. In that instant, he had truly felt death breathing down his neck.
That brush with death brought Haku's mind into sharper focus.
He quickly retreated, pulling himself free of the blade embedded in his shoulder.
Blood gushed out, and Haku immediately used Ice Release to seal the wound and stop the bleeding.
"As expected of the Uchiha Clan. You're far stronger than I imagined, but I won't lose. I have a reason I can't afford to lose!"
Haku activated his Ninjutsu again, once more setting his Ninjutsu in motion.
"Ice Release Secret Technique..."
"Boring."
"Chidori Stream: Chidori Thunderfall!"
Blue lightning flowed from Sasuke's right hand into the Ninja Blade he held.
Sasuke swung his Ninja Blade upward in front of him.
Lightning tore through the earth, bolts erupting from the ground.
"What?!"
Haku had never imagined Sasuke could use Ninjutsu of this caliber.
Blue-white lightning engulfed Haku, and amid the thunder's roar, the dome created by Demonic Crystal Ice shattered.
Haku was blasted clean off his feet.
"Look! The Ice Dome's been broken!"
