On the battlefield, the two men stood atop their respective giants, roaring at each other.
The Susanoo giant and the Wooden Human clashed fiercely once again.
Yet after one clash after another, neither could get the better of the other.
After all, they had fought each other for so many years that they knew each other's abilities all too well.
Hashirama controlled the Wooden Human, throwing a punch to block a slash from Madara Uchiha's Susanoo as the two rapidly closed in.
With a thunderous crash, the Susanoo and the Wooden Human collided, locking the two in another stalemate.
"Madara! Our era is already over. Stop clinging to your delusions and give it up!"
Hashirama tried to reason with Madara Uchiha.
He did not want to keep fighting Madara Uchiha. To him, a battle like this was meaningless.
"Hashirama, do you still not understand? You're the one clinging to delusions!"
Madara Uchiha shouted back.
"Look at this battlefield! This is the Fourth Shinobi World War since your death!"
"So what?"
"Do you still not understand? Your ideas were wrong from the very beginning! People understanding one another was nothing more than your own wishful thinking all along!"
Madara Uchiha folded his arms across his chest and laughed with his head held high.
"Hashirama, humans are complex, emotional creatures. Where there is love, there is hatred. Where there are selfless people, there are selfish ones.
Perhaps some people can understand one another, but a world where everyone understands everyone else is impossible!
As long as humans exist, as long as they continue to live in societies, as long as new people keep being born into this world, universal mutual understanding will remain impossible!
Therefore, peace built on everyone understanding one another does not exist. Even if it did, it
