After Hiruzen Sarutobi finished assigning their tasks, everyone immediately split up to act.
Now that Madara Uchiha had recovered one Rinnegan, Hashirama was even less of a match for him.
The Susanoo giant swung its blade forward.
The slash landed squarely on the Wooden Human's shoulder, nearly severing one of its arms.
Hashirama controlled the Wooden Human, making it grab Susanoo's arm.
"Trying to restrict my Susanoo's movements?"
Madara Uchiha sneered.
"Heh, Hashirama, you're still too naive! When will you finally face reality?"
Another pair of arms emerged from behind Susanoo and slashed straight at the Wooden Human.
"Wood Release! Wood Dragon Technique!"
Hashirama clapped his hands together, and two Wood Dragons spiraled out. Like iron chains, they locked down every arm of the Susanoo giant.
"Madara!"
Hashirama roared and charged along the Wooden Human's arm toward Madara inside the opposing Susanoo.
Seeing Hashirama charging at him, Madara burst out laughing.
"Hahaha, come on, then!"
Laughing, he charged straight out of Susanoo's protection.
The two launched into a taijutsu battle atop the arms of the Susanoo giant and the Wooden Human.
In theory, Hashirama should have held a tremendous advantage with his reanimated body.
Yet after only a few exchanges, the outcome was clear.
Madara pulled out a Black Rod and smashed apart the half of Hashirama's body that had only just regenerated.
"Hashirama, that's enough. I've already lost interest in you."
With his reanimated body, Hashirama still fell far short of his true self.
Madara raised his leg and unleashed an Uchiha Flying Kick. After kicking Hashirama away, he formed hand seals with one hand.
"Fire Style: Majestic Destroyer Flame!"
Boom!
Ferocious flames surged from Madara Uchiha's mouth, engulfing Hashirama Senju in an instant.
Before Madara Uchiha's ninjutsu ended, a kunai flew toward him, followed by a golden figure.
