At last, the book went premium. Honestly, it really wasn't easy.
During the free-release period, I, Jiaoshou, thought about abandoning the book several times, but I gritted my teeth and kept going. Even this final major recommendation before going premium-as I mentioned before-almost passed me by, and I nearly had to settle for a consolation premium release.
I had very mixed feelings about going premium this time. When I first started writing this book, it was simply because a game had inspired me. More precisely, I was playing a Gilneas worgen, and after watching the Gilneas storyline, I felt so weighed down that I wanted to write about it.
I never expected the book to do pretty well after I uploaded it. It had plenty of member clicks, but those numbers felt a little hollow: there were clicks, but no bookmarks. A League of Legends novel that started around the same time had only a fraction of this book's member clicks, yet its bookmarks grew several times faster than mine. I was so envious and jealous that this was when I first thought about abandoning the book.
On the first day, I only gained twenty-odd bookmarks, while that other author gained over a hundred, almost two hundred, in a single day. It really hurt to look at those numbers. But in the end, the member clicks were still pretty good. Lots of people were clicking; I just wasn't keeping them around. So I gritted my teeth and kept writing, and that proved to be the right choice. That other author abandoned their book after just a few days. Of course, I was still envious: three hundred bookmarks in three days! What a shame to abandon it. If that had been me, I definitely wouldn't have given up.
