"Why get angry?" Jaina, who had already risen, spoke up, her expression changing when she heard Rex's words.

Rex ignored Jaina and stared coldly at Medivh. "Fight me. As long as you can beat me, everything is negotiable."

Fierce fighting spirit erupted from Rex. Medivh was the best possible opponent for testing a demigod's strength. Provoking a demigod without cause was one thing if he won, but if he lost, he would be marching to his death. Medivh was different, however. A fight without risking his life made him the ideal opponent for this test.

"Very well." Beneath his cloak, Medivh's lips parted slightly, his voice as resonant as ever.

Watching a fight about to break out, Jaina intended to keep trying to dissuade them. From her perspective, a battle was the last thing she wanted. Whoever won or lost, she had nothing to gain. If Rex won and the prophet was wounded, she would feel guilty. But if Rex lost and the prophet won, it would be an even greater disaster. Who knew what Rex might do after being injured?

Gilneas was no longer what it had once been. In the past, the king of Lordaeron had kept it in check, and it had occupied an obscure corner of the continent, drawing little attention. Now, however, Gilneas had taken over Lordaeron and become the Leader of the Alliance.
