Because of Prince Galen, Medivh had once again launched into his grand act of persuasion, laying out his theories for the prince. He had little to show for it, however.
Prince Galen clearly did not believe Medivh's claims. In fact, even Rex did not believe them. Medivh was excellent at cultivating an air of mystery; he certainly looked the part. But his eloquence was nowhere near the same level as that talent. Clearly, he had failed.
Prince Galen left, leaving only Medivh and Rex in the command tent. The prince had no interest whatsoever in what Medivh had told him.
"What happened?" Rex asked Medivh once Prince Galen had left. Although he had his suspicions, he let none of them show.
"The number of demons in the Twisting Nether has begun to increase recently. Vast numbers of them have gathered there. I believe the Burning Legion's invasion is not far off," Medivh said.
Medivh had long since established that the Burning Legion would be responsible for this world-threatening crisis. Sargeras's possession of him had ruined his reputation and made him someone everyone wanted to hunt down, but it had not been entirely without benefits. At the very least, Medivh had learned many of Sargeras's secrets. Those secrets were insignificant compared with everything Sargeras himself knew, but they were still immensely valuable. Medivh already knew that, ever since its defeat in Azeroth in ancient times, the Burning Legion had never abandoned its designs on the world.
That was why the Twisting Nether concerned Medivh most. If the Burning Legion's demons wanted to invade Azeroth, they could not bypass it; it was a route they had to take. Others knew little about the Twisting Nether and might never even have heard the term. Even those who had heard of it had no
