I was back today with full health and mana. Here was the update.
"Prince Galen agreed," Orys said.
"Good, good, good." Rex repeated the word three times, expressing his delight. Although Orys had not said whether Prince Galen actually had that many mounts, his agreement alone spoke volumes. How could Rex fail to understand?
"When can they arrive?" Rex asked.
"Tonight, if we don't conceal our movements. If we do, it will take until tomorrow night," Orys replied after some thought.
"Send Prince Galen a magical message. Tell him to make absolutely sure his movements remain concealed," Rex said.
"There's one more thing. Prince Galen said these mounts absolutely will not take part in combat," Orys added, relaying the prince's words.

Given the Wolfhowl Tribe's circumstances, its gnolls were unfamiliar with horses. Fighting on horseback would only prevent them from displaying their true strength. It would be a complete waste.
"Send Prince Galen the message immediately." After asking a few more questions, Rex gave Orys his orders.
No sooner had Orys left than Baron Ailiboxu and Douglas arrived. Rex had deliberately summoned them. All preparations for the night raid were complete, and the broad strategy had been settled. All that remained were the details. Once everyone had taken their seats, Vorgan hurried in. He had changed considerably. Were it not for his wolf's head, no one would have thought
