The next update would be at six. You could get some sleep and read it when you woke up.

On the distant horizon, a white line slowly emerged, gradually beginning to wrest the sky from the darkness.

The sun hung high, and daylight had fully broken. Rex returned from the Training Grounds, took a hot bath, and only then headed toward the Archmage.

The Archmage was meditating beside the magic circle and had never left it. As Rex approached, the Archmage opened his eyes warily. Rex knew the Archmage had set up some incomprehensible means of warning himself around the area.

The Archmage rose and bowed respectfully to Rex. Rex dispensed with the pleasantries. He would have shown some respect to any other Heroic Powerhouse, but there was no need with the Archmage or the Paladin. He went straight to the point. "Can we begin?"

"Whenever you wish." The Archmage nodded, his white beard trembling as he spoke slowly.

"Then begin," Rex said.

"Your Highness, please step into the magic circle." The Archmage extended a hand in invitation, motioning for Rex to enter.

Rex walked into the magic circle in a few strides and took his place. The Archmage had visited the Twisting Nether many times already, and there was no danger involved. Rex was not worried in the slightest.

Seeing Rex in position, the Archmage adopted a solemn expression and lightly pointed his staff at the magic circle. The circle etched into the ground began to come alive. Its inscribed magical symbols seemed to awaken, steadily growing brighter. In moments, a faint glow emerged beneath Rex's feet, drawing his attention and making him instinctively look down.

The Archmage then took his next step. Staff in hand, he walked into the magic circle and stood beside Rex, continuing to tap
