Rain poured down, washing over the earth. The unbroken stretch of wet weather had already lasted five days.

Golden Holy Light enveloped Rex, so dense that it swallowed him from sight.

Clenching his fists, Rex felt the power surging through his body and gave Sylvanas a friendly nod. His injuries had mostly healed. With a few more days of treatment like this, he would recover completely.

Such remarkable results were entirely thanks to Sylvanas. The High Elves were not to be underestimated. In Azeroth, healing was not limited to a handful of professions such as paladins and priests. This was a vast world, full of all manner of strange things. Take the High Elves, for instance. If such a large race had no means of healing, would their people simply have to wait for death whenever they fell ill or suffered an injury? That was plainly impossible.

One thing worth noting was that the High Elves of this era did not yet have professions that wielded the Holy Light, such as paladins and priests. They had not undergone the series of upheavals that would turn them into Blood Elves, then traveled to Draenor, the orcs' homeland, successfully captured a naaru, and begun gaining the power of the Holy Light. Although the first of those events had already happened, Rex had changed their course. The High Elves' future development could no longer follow that path.

The naaru were Rex's prey. This race wielded the Holy Light, and they meant more to Rex than to anyone else. A single naaru had given the High Elves access to another profession. That alone was enough to demonstrate their value.

Humans might also be a major race that wielded the Holy Light, and the Holy Light might be everywhere, but those who could actually become
