Hazy motes of light hovered and spread, while a soft glow shone from a chandelier. Yes, that was right-a chandelier. The dense trees blocked out the sunlight, leaving the hall somewhat dim, and this chandelier-like fixture was what illuminated it. As Rex walked inside, the hall's layout came clearly into view.
The layout was not complicated at all. The neatly arranged tables and chairs told everyone that this was a council chamber.
Many people were already seated. Unlike what Rex had expected, those who had arrived early included not only Night Elves, but also Orcs, Tauren, and Trolls.
Quite a crowd, Rex thought, his eyes repeatedly studying the young Orc. Although Rex had never met him, his identity was obvious from his presence here at this particular moment: Thrall, Warchief of the Horde.
He was also someone Rex had long wanted to meet. Rex could guess who the others were. That powerfully built Tauren had to be Cairne Bloodhoof. The Tauren had plenty of Heroic Powerhouses, but none represented their people quite as well as he did. His presence was imposing, yet compared with the aggressive Orc beside Thrall, Cairne Bloodhoof seemed steady and composed, giving the impression of a venerable elder.
His sharp horns and enormous bovine face did not look fearsome in the slightest.
This gathering brought together so many of Azeroth's heroes. The young Tauren who seemed particularly close to Cairne Bloodhoof had to be Baine Bloodhoof. His youthful, immature face naturally lacked the spirited confidence and heroic charisma he would one day display when he quelled internal strife in a single stroke, but he could not be overlooked. He was a genius, and reaching Hero Rank in the future would pose no problem at all.
The others included Sen'jin, Vol'jin, Grom Hellscream, Rexxar, and Varok Saurfang.
