"The Warchief is here. Tyrande, what intelligence do you have?" Rex asked as he watched Thrall sit down, then turned his gaze toward Tyrande.
Tyrande did not answer Rex immediately. Instead, she glanced around the cabin and held his gaze for several seconds before looking away. Her beautiful eyes lingered on Thrall for a few seconds, then she withdrew her gaze and said gravely, "There is no need to keep arguing over what caused this invasion by the Burning Legion. We will never get to the bottom of who is to blame."
Tyrande deliberately paused there. Silence filled the cabin. Neither Thrall nor Rexxar spoke. That was the advantage of having so few people in the discussion. Had the leaders of the Alliance and the Horde been gathered together instead, Tyrande's last remark alone would have sparked an argument.
The orcs, in particular, would have lashed out at the Alliance without hesitation, demanding to know who was responsible for all this.
Kel'Thuzad had summoned Archimonde into Azeroth, and Arthas had been his accomplice. Both had once been human, which gave the orcs grounds to complain. But the Alliance's intelligence was no less thorough. Pursuing that argument would inevitably turn into a tangled mess, because the current Lich King was Ner'zhul, and Ner'zhul had once been an orc.
That had been the source of the argument when the matter was first raised, which was why Tyrande had deliberately paused. She looked at the expressionless Rex, then at Thrall, whose faint smile remained, and continued, "You have seen how many demons there are at the first defensive line. Their numbers have not decreased at all."
Rex and Thrall both nodded instinctively. The Burning Legion's demon army was simply too vast. The fighting at the first defensive line was incredibly fierce. The demons
