Night, a hazy darkness enveloped the land.

Darkness slowly drew its curtains, quietly covering the clamor of the day. Rex walked out of the Underground Prison at an unhurried pace. A cool breeze stirred as he gazed pensively into the night sky.

Tonight's moon was different from usual. It shone exceptionally brightly the moment it appeared, draping the earth in silver gauze and lifting people's spirits. Large and round, it looked like an enormous mooncake, tempting anyone who saw it to take a bite. Moonlight hung in the sky, illuminating its deep blue expanse.

Footsteps rang out as Rex and his party swiftly left the entrance to the Underground Prison.

The pallor of the night looked almost sickly. The cold wind brushed their faces, stirring an indescribable desolation.

After leaving the Military District, Rex chose not to ride the Netherwing King, walking slowly instead. He remained distracted and silent the whole way, clearly pondering something.

The night breathed in the clarity of lamplight and slanting shadows. Winter must have been cold, yet the spring breeze had already swept over the stone railings and branches on either side of the road.

Standing on the bustling street and looking up at the sky, he felt his gloomy heart grow even heavier. The Lich King had set his sights on him, intending to use him as a vessel. Anyone would have been upset by that, and Rex had received even worse news in the Underground Prison: the Cult of the Damned had risen from the ashes. He glanced up at the rows of lights. Night had only just deepened, and the bustling streets of Lordaeron City were at their liveliest. Beneath the magical lights, everything was as bright as day, with an endless stream of pedestrians coming and going. Yet none of that
