Rex had invested no small amount to ensure this surprise attack succeeded in one stroke. He had not only begun stirring up publicity in Lordaeron City, but had also set things in motion in the Hillsbrad Foothills.

Peace Town! Though called a town, it was really nothing more than an oversized village.
Quite a few people lived here-nearly a hundred thousand in all. Calling a village of a hundred thousand people a city would not have been an exaggeration.
But because it had only just been established, the place was still terribly desolate. Little care had gone into the residents' homes; they were merely thatched huts.
