At his question, Jaina glanced at him. She raised a delicate hand, smoothed the golden hair beside her ear, and tucked it behind her ear before saying, "I think you have ulterior motives for building this city. You want to establish it near Dalaran so you can threaten Dalaran."
"As a magic kingdom, Dalaran has plenty of mages, but it has never had many regular warriors. If you build a city here and gain a foothold, you could suddenly send out troops. Caught off guard, Dalaran certainly wouldn't be able to hold out. You would capture it."
"I, Rex, am not that sort of man." Rex shook his head, indicating that he had no such intentions toward Dalaran.
Rex knew what sort of city Dalaran was. Although he had great ambitions concerning it, he also knew that bringing it under his rule through force alone was simply impossible.
Mages were almost invariably wealthy or noble. Very few ordinary people could take up that profession.
Such people were difficult to deal with, for their tempers were rather too proud. Capturing Dalaran itself, however, would not be difficult.
