Rex had naturally come to the Goblin Shop with a purpose of his own.

Rex had come to discuss something with the goblin: he wanted him to make another trip back and see whether he could find treasures that would help Rex break through the divine threshold and build up his reserves.

Rex was no ordinary person. Others could only advance toward a breakthrough one step at a time.

They had to keep building up their reserves before they could break through.

Rex, however, was different. He could draw on outside assistance.

He already had Life Potions, but he did not want to wait that long. Relying on Life Potions to make a breakthrough, advancing step by step, meant depending entirely on time. Other people's vitality would gradually decline after fifty, but he could maintain his until seventy or eighty.

Becoming a demigod at eighty was not slow by the standards of Azeroth. In fact, it was already quite fast.
