These end-of-volume notes came late. To be honest, I, Jiaoshou, had planned to write more for the last volume. The original idea was good, too: building a foundation through resources. But you readers weren't buying it, so I rushed through it in the end. An entire volume, and only one new name appeared: Evely.
Sigh. After the last volume began, the twenty-four-hour subscriptions, which weren't high to begin with, actually dropped by around thirty. In the end, I had no choice but to deliver an abridged version and wrap it up in a few strokes. I never expected that, just a few chapters into this volume, half of those lost subscriptions would come back.
Oh, the resentment, the resentment. I'm not planning on doing this sort of plot again. I'll stick to something more conventional. This book is nearing its end. It should finish at around two million Chinese characters, probably after the Lich King storyline. I don't plan to write about Deathwing.
I've said too much, but it all comes down to one thing: the results aren't good. I don't blame anyone else for that. I blame myself. After the book became paid, the first month was fine, but in the following months, I didn't even update a hundred thousand characters a month. Missed updates became an everyday occurrence, and I ruined the book in one fell swoop.
After all that rambling, let me explain where the book stands. This month will definitely have three hundred thousand characters of updates. Next month was originally going to be the same, but the per-thousand-character perfect-attendance bonus is gone. After thinking it over, I'll only be doing two updates a day next month and starting preparations for a new book.
All right, this is all resentment left over from the last volume.
