Azeroth's development was somewhat lopsided. In many areas, it surpassed the world of Rex's previous life, yet its overall direction lagged far behind. Ultimately, this was because so much of its development was uneven. It was like walking on one foot-how could it possibly be steady?

Many fields of research into the fundamental nature of matter did not exist at all.
